827 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: Why was the Teacher Demand & Supply Planning Projection report for 2024 not released in December of 2024, as per the standard practice of releasing them in December for 2023, 2022, and 2021?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that the 2024 Teacher Demand and Supply Report will be released this month. It will forecast the current supply picture at a national level and will also show regional variations, for the first time. I understand that the decision to delay the publication was made so that robust quality assurance could be undertaken on the data that informs the new regional content.
