796 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister for Racing: What decisions does the Minister intend to make, if any, about the future of the greyhound racing industry within this term of Parliament?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Since the Robertson Review in 2021, the greyhound industry in New Zealand has been ‘on notice’. Reaching a decision on the future of the greyhound industry is a priority for me, as industry participants and the wider public need some clarity on the future of the industry. I intend to consider the most recent advice on the industry’s progress before discussing the matter with Cabinet.
