794 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Statistics: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the Cabinet Office Circular titled Needs-Based Service Provision?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that this Circular’s requirements are included in Stats NZ’s Compliance Register, with annual reporting on compliance. Stats NZ has work underway to identify services that are targeted to specific groups and assess whether they are still needed to achieve their original objectives as per the requirements of the Circular.
