794 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister for Resources: What work, if any, has the Minister or his officials undertaken on the declared intention to re-open oil and gas exploration?

Hon Shane Jones: This Government is committed to enabling oil and gas exploration beyond onshore Taranaki. Officials are working on changes to the Crown Minerals Act to remove the ban, support investor confidence and improve regulatory efficiency.
