783 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What advice, reports, briefings, aide-memoires, risk-registers, or any other documents has the Prime Minister or any member of their Office received during the week of 12 February 2024, by title and date?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents between 12 - 16 February 2024 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC):
• Final Decision on Nominees for the Intelligence and Security Committee dated 13 February 2024
• Vote Prime Minister and Cabinet: Statement of Contingent Liabilities and Assets as at 31 December 2023 dated 14 February 2024
• Government targets – advice to finalise dated 15 February 2024
• Prime Minister’s Weekly Brief dated 15 February 2024
• Operation and Administration of the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme: Ministerial Responsibility dated 16 February 2024
• Assignment of Responsibility for Legislation dated 16 February 2024
• Review of Ministers’ interests following appointment dated 16 February 2024
• Housing Portfolio: Allocation of Responsibilities and Delegations to Associate Minister of Housing (Social Housing) dated 16 February 2024
• Letter of expectations to Cabinet Committee Chairs dated 16 February 2024.
I also received a document on 13 February, three documents on 15 February and one document on 16 February 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents.
I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings.
In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents including draft documents from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
