746 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Transport: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the updated Flexible Working (Work From Home) Guidance?

Hon James Meager: I am advised the Civil Aviation Authority has recently reviewed its Flexible Working Policy and Guidelines with consideration of the Governments updated Flexible Working Guidance. The policy has been updated to confirm Flexible Working, including working from home, is not an entitlement. Where an employee would like flexibility (including working from home regularly), this needs to be agreed between manager and team member, ensuring the arrangement works for the employee, role, team and organisation. I am advised by Maritime NZ that they have taken the following actions: 1. Reviewed existing policies to ensure they align with Government expectations. 2. Communicated expectations to all workers. 3. Reviewed all work from home arrangements. 4.
