744 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Transport: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the Cabinet Office Circular titled "Impact-Analysis Requirement?"

Hon James Meager: I am advised the Civil Aviation Authority is currently reviewing and considering any changes required to our regulatory impact assessments. I am advised that Maritime New Zealand follows impact analysis requirements as part of its standard processes when preparing regulatory proposals (such as changes to Maritime Rules). They implement the requirements set out in the circular as part of these standard processes. I am advised that the Transport Accident Investigation Commission has not taken any action.
