704 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Associate Minister of Police: What measures, if any, will be looked at to assist Police workforce growth?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that Police is developing a comprehensive approach to increasing constabulary numbers. The details of the approaches used will evolve over time, allowing Police to be flexible and evidence based as required over this period. This may include measures to promote constabulary staff to remain in the organisation, increased attraction and marketing activity, better support for those in the recruitment pipeline, and seeking to increase the number of former constabulary officers to re-join.
