701 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: What benefits, if any, do Community Housing Providers gain from expanding their social housing stock through additional Build to Own social houses funded by Budgets 2024 and 2025?

Hon Tama Potaka: The member’s question is best directed to Community Housing Providers. The Government has been clear we are agnostic as to who owns social housing. Our focus is on how people in need of social housing can benefit from increased supply, where it is needed. This is also my reply to WPQ 702 (2026).
