686 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Energy: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the updated Flexible Working (Work From Home) Guidance?

Hon Simon Watts: As Minister for Energy, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. With regard to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I refer the member to the Minister for Economic Growth’s answer to written parliamentary question 681 (2025). With regard to Crown entities under the energy portfolio EECA’s working from home policy aligns with the updated Flexible Working (Work from Home) Guidance provided by the Public Service Commission. Accordingly, EECA has not taken any further actions. The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko has reviewed their Flexible Working policy against the updated Flexible Working (Work from Home) Guidance and consider it to be in line.
