667 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Was the $125 million reduction in capital funding for Large Scale Projects in Budget 25 reinvested in Kāinga Ora and if not, where, if anywhere, were those savings reallocated?

Hon Chris Bishop: This information is publicly available as part of the Budget 2025 Summary of Initiatives and can be found here [https://www.treasury.govt.nz/sites/default/files/2025-05/b25-sum-initiatives.pdf]. I am advised that $100M in savings were reinvested in Vote Housing and Urban Development Budget initiatives, such as supporting upfront operating supplement for social housing and the flexible fund. The remaining $25M was reinvested in the Greenfield Model through Vote Finance.
