666 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Was the $59 million saved in 2024/25 from the closure of the First Home Grants scheme reinvested in Kāinga Ora and if not, where, if anywhere, were those savings reallocated?

Hon Chris Bishop: Savings from the closure of the First Home Grant scheme was reinvested through Budget 2024 to fund 1,500 new social housing places to be provided by Community Housing Providers.
