654 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Vocational Education: How many personal grievance cases, broken down by success status, if any, were filed in the Ministers departments, if any, in the 2024 and 2025 calendar years?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I have been advised by New Zealand Qualifications Authority, there were 7 personal grievances filed in 2024. All were related to the organisational change process that occurred in mid-2024. Four of these were settled. Three remain ongoing. No personal grievances have been filed in 2025. I am advised by The Tertiary Education Commission that there were no personal grievance cases in the 2024 and 2025 calendar year. Regarding the Ministry of Education, I refer the Member to the Minster of Education’s response to written parliamentary question 242 (2025). I am advised that three personal grievances were raised with Education New Zealand (ENZ) in 2024. All four were settled. There have not been any personal grievances filed with ENZ in 2025, to date.
