628 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Tourism and Hospitality: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the updated Flexible Working (Work From Home) Guidance?

Hon Louise Upston: As Minister of Tourism & Hospitality, I have no responsibility for any government departments or Ministries. In respect of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I refer the Member to the Minister for Economic Growth answer to written parliamentary question 681 (2025). With regard to Crown entities under the Tourism and Hospitality portfolio, I am advised that the guidance doesn’t apply direct to Tourism New Zealand as a Crown Entity, but they are encouraged to consider the Guidance. Tourism New Zealand expects to do a review of its flexible working approach in FY26 and will consider the Flexible Working (Working From Home) Guidance as part of this.
