625 (2024). Darleen Tana to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: Further to his response to 329 (2024), what stakeholders, if any, did he consult with on COMM 12 – Prop 10 , listed by organisation, title and date?

Hon Shane Jones: Given the short timeframes involved since taking office, no stakeholders were consulted on Comm 12 – Prop 10. At the recent SPRFMO Commission Meeting in Ecuador, New Zealand officials requested that this proposal be considered at the next Commission meeting. This would allow more time for the new Government to be able to consult with stakeholders and further consider the proposal.
