620 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to his reply to Question 57396 (2025), what was the total value of the “other vacant land sales” listings provided and how, if at all, were those funds reinvested into Kāinga Ora?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities has provided me with a table (attached) that includes the total value of the “other land sales” of $7,461,501. The $1 sale was to correct an historical issue, where land was sold but an accessway was not transferred at the time of sale. The table in the reply to question 57396 (2025) erroneously included Urban Development and Delivery land sales in the “other vacant land sales” that were also listed under the Urban Development and Delivery sales. This will be corrected. Divestment sale proceeds from vacant land are either reinvested in housing stock or used to reduce debt. This is also my reply to WPQ 623 (2026).
