598 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Disability Issues

Written Question
Published date: 13 Feb 2025
598 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Disability Issues: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the updated Flexible Working (Work From Home) Guidance?
Hon Louise Upston: While awaiting final guidance from the Public Service Commission (PSC), I am advised that the Ministry of Disabled People – Whaikaha are monitoring work-from-home (WFH) patterns to ensure they align with PSC expectations. They are also guiding managers and staff on balancing WFH flexibility with team connection and productivity. They are preparing to implement the PSC’s 2025 twice-yearly data collection and Flexible Working Guidance once the final directions are received. In relation to Disability Support Services, which is part of Ministry of Social Development, please refer to written parliamentary question 511 (2025).
