591 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many, if any, people who were living rough have been accommodated to date in the 300 social homes he announced on 5 September 2025 and how does that number breakdown by location?

Hon Tama Potaka: As at 28 January, there have been 159 Housing First placements into social homes made available following the announcement on 5 September 2025. The location of the 159 places includes 123 in Auckland; six in Wellington, four in Hamilton and 26 in Christchurch.
