559 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the updated Flexible Working (Work From Home) Guidance?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I am the Responsible Minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is a departmental agency hosted by DPMC. I am advised that officials in DPMC including NEMA are currently reviewing their Flexible Working By-Default Policy in light of the Government’s expectations as set out in the updated Flexible Working (Work From Home) Guidance issued by Te Kawa Mataaho - Public Service Commission in December 2024.
