532 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: What was the cost of the Kāinga Ora pilot project using drones to undertake roof condition inspections and what information, if any, about the houses that had roofs inspected in this way was recorded?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that the drone pilot was funded from within existing maintenance budgets and included inspecting 333 roofs and 2,081 cladding inspections at a total cost of $81,618, and was cost neutral.
