528 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How were properties chosen for inspections during Kāinga Ora’s property inspection pilots using drones and in what regions were these properties located?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that properties for the pilot were selected using asset data to identify the roof type and expected component life expectancy, and the pilot operated in the following Kāinga Ora regions: Central and East Auckland, Counties Manukau, Gisborne, North and West Auckland, Northland, Taranaki/Whanganui/Manawatu, Waikato, and Wellington/Kapiti regions.
