497 (2026). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Corrections: Relating to the 24% increase of incarcerated women between September 2024 - September 2025, has there been a change in risk tolerance by Corrections, Police or the Courts, and who directed that shift?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Corrections continues to manage each person remanded or sentenced to a term of imprisonment in line with their obligations under the Corrections Act 2004 and the Corrections Regulations 2005. I am further advised that Corrections has not changed the way it manages a person's risk during their term of imprisonment over the 12-month period requested.
