496 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Māori Development: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the Cabinet Office Circular titled Needs-Based Service Provision?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that it has undertaken work using government statistics to identify where a need might be greater for Māori cohorts. I am also advised that when advising on culturally-specific service delivery Te Puni Kōkiri wherever possible cites independent programme evaluations to demonstrate their impact. Te Puni Kōkiri is also exploring how to align its approach to programme evaluation with the Value and Impact Measurement Framework issued by the Social Investment Agency.
