462 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: Further to 53847 (2025), how does the average payment of $23,000 made after 9 May 2025 reconcile with the 9 May 2025 announcement that the average payment would be $30,000?

Hon Erica Stanford: Each claim is assessed and reviewed on its own unique circumstances. The $30,000 average is across the whole State redress system. Individual agency averages will vary depending on the nature and number of claims settled during a particular period.
