460 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Associate Minister of Finance: Is there a benchmark rate of return on funds invested by the Natural Disaster Fund / Natural Hazards Fund; if so what was it for each of the last five years?

Hon David Seymour: Yes. The benchmark rate was set in the 2015 Ministerial Direction on Natural Disaster Fund Investment Policies. The Direction, which has applied since 2015, can be found here https://gazette.govt.nz/notice/id/2015-go4515
