424 (2026). Shanan Halbert to the Minister for Vocational Education: Further to the Minister's reply to Written Parliamentary Question 59175, when was this advice received and in what form, by date and title?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I received regular advice during 2025 on the forecast viability of individual polytechnics as independent entities from 1 January 2026, including potential risks. The risks referred to in my answer to written parliamentary question 59175 (2025) reflect advice included in the following briefings: • 15 May 2025 – Tertiary Education Report: Advice on the future financial viability of the ITP network • 30 October 2025 – Aide-Memoire: Advice on the future financial viability of the ITP network • 4 December 2025 – Aide-Memoire: Update on the four former polytechnic divisions remaining within NZIST
