411 (2026). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Corrections: How many allegations of sexual assault have been made against corrections officers (including prison officers employed by SERCO) at the Auckland South Corrections Facility, if any?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that since Auckland South Corrections Facility opened in May 2015, there have been 16 allegations of sexual assault made by prisoners against custodial staff, all relating to rub down searches. I am further advised that all 16 allegations were thoroughly investigated, with none substantiated.
