409 (2026). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Finance: How many properties if any does the Natural Hazards Commission believe to have suffered building damage as a result of the recent weather events in Northland?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised further claims are expected and event modelling is ongoing. At this stage it is not clear how many properties have suffered building and/or land damage in the recent weather events. I refer the member to the attached table providing number of claims received for Northland as at 30 January 2026, broken down by exposure type.
