396 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: What schools, if any, have received allocations from the $58 million accelerated funding for operating maintenance work that she announced on 22 September 2025; and, if any, when is work scheduled to be completed, per school?

Hon Erica Stanford: By the start of November 2025, all eligible 2,415 state and state integrated schools had applied and received their Property Maintenance Grant (PMG) Top-up. Schools were eligible for either $5,000 or 50 percent of their 2025 PMG funding (plus GST), whichever amount is greater. Schools have until the end of the Term 1 holidays to complete all maintenance work being funded out of the PMG Top-up. The Ministry of Education will be following up with schools after then to confirm when the work was started and completed. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 399 (2026).
