359 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Housing: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the updated Flexible Working (Work From Home) Guidance?
Hon Chris Bishop: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has advised its employees of the updated Guidance and expectations of government, which are consistent with the Ministry’s current practises. The Ministry has also
undertaken analysis of its Flexible Working approach to check for alignment with the updated Guidance.
Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that as a Crown Entity, the updated Flexible Working (Work From Home) Guidance from the Public Service Commission does not formally cover Kāinga Ora, although it may in future. If this happens, Kāinga Ora will review its policies and practices to ensure it closely aligns with the updated guidance. For now, its current policies and practices continue to apply. Its Flexible Working Policy sets its approach to flexible working arrangements, including working remotely.
