328 (2026). Scott Willis to the Minister of Education: What assessment, if any, has been made of the potential for schools to generate solar power as part of reducing operational costs?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that the Ministry of Education has completed a high level assessment of schools’ solar potential by evaluating usable roof area, roof condition and life, and typical solar lifetimes, combined with weather data to estimate generation and indicative savings.
