315 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the Cabinet Office Circular titled "Impact-Analysis Requirement?"

Rt Hon Winston Peters: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) is well-prepared to implement the requirements set out in this Circular in relation to any regulatory proposals that they develop after the updated requirements came into effect on 1 January 2025. I have also been advised that, for legislation administered by MFAT, officials have not worked on any regulatory proposals that require an impact analysis since the updated requirements came into effect.
