284 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Associate Minister of Justice: What appointment processes, if any, were followed in the appointment of Mike Spray and Michelle Roderick-Hall to the Ministerial Arms Advisory Group (MAAG)?

Hon Nicole McKee: Nominations were sought from my colleagues for appointees who possessed knowledge and experience in some or all of the areas established on s90(2) of the Arms Act 1983. The Minister of Justice then took a paper to the Cabinet Appointments and Honours Committee (APH) noting his intention to appoint the new members. The APH Committee considered the appointments on 7 October 2025 and, on 13 October 2025 they were agreed by Cabinet.
