264 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: Were additional requirements requested for applicants to the 2026 Onsite Training Programme funding round; if so, what were they and at what point in the process were they requested?

Hon Erica Stanford: Yes. I am advised by the Ministry of Education that, at the beginning of the 2026 application process, Initial Teacher Education providers were asked to provide evidence of: • incorporating curriculum changes into their post graduate programmes • how student teachers will complete the programmes with the necessary capabilities to deliver the curriculum. Schools were asked to: • provide evidence of the availability of an experienced mentor teacher demonstrate they have begun implementation of the revised curriculum (primary schools only).
