249 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Justice: Was he aware of the links between his Associate Minister, Hon Nicole McKee, and his nominees to the Ministerial Arms Advisory Group (MAAG) before he took those nominations to Cabinet and if so, on what date was he made aware of those links?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: As is standard practice, I was made aware that Hon Nicole McKee had a potential conflict of interest in relation to potential appointments to the Ministerial Arms Advisory Group at the point in time in which I was asked to consider nominees to the MAAG as the Minister of Justice, following guidance from the Cabinet Office, and before I took those nominations to Cabinet.
