Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Finance: has she discussed the emission reduction implications on emissions budget 2 and emissions budget 3 of returning funding from the Government Investment in Decarbonising Industry Fund (GIDI), returning uncommitted funding from the Climate Emergency Response Fund (CERF) and returning uncommitted CERF funding from the National Land Transport Fund (NLTF) with her colleague the Minister of Climate Change?

Hon Nicola Willis: These impacts were considered by Cabinet as part of the Mini Budget process and Ministers were aware of the possible effects of decisions on emissions budgets two and three. The Minister of Climate Change and I have had constructive discussions about our climate priorities. We plan to seek further advice on any additional actions that may be needed to achieve our emissions budgets as part of the development of the second Emissions Reduction Plan.
