187 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Associate Minister of Finance: How many claims remain outstanding with Toka Tū Ake , The Earthquake Commission which were made as a result of the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence?

Hon David Seymour: I have been advised that as of 29 January 2024, there are 668 open claims from the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence. All original claims from the Canterbury earthquakes were settled many years ago. The claims being managed now relate to new damage that was not previously identified, or because earlier repairs need remediation.
