156 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for Regulation: Given the answer to WPQ 31035 / 23 does the minister expect to have established the "new government department, required to assess the quality of new and existing legislation and regulation" by the end of June 2024?

Hon David Seymour: Work has started to establish the new agency, including recruitment of an establishment team and the legal process required under the Public Service Act 2020, and I expect it to be established as soon as it is practicable.
