138 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Associate Minister of Justice: Will the Minister undertake consultation prior to the introduction of legislation to "rewrite the Arms Act 1983" if so when?

Hon Nicole McKee: My immediate focus regarding firearms reform is progressing the Government’s 100-day plan commitment related to Part 6 of the Arms Act 1983 (clubs and ranges). I will be receiving advice on reviewing and rewriting the wider Act in due course. This will include an approach to consultation.
