137 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Regulation: What actions, if any, has the Minister's departments or agencies, if any, made in implementing the Cabinet Office Circular titled "Impact-Analysis Requirement?"

Hon David Seymour: The Ministry for Regulation is overseeing the implementation the circular the Member refers to. Examples of some of the actions the Ministry for Regulation has taken include: issuing updated guidance on Cabinet’s impact analysis requirements and guidance on discussion documents, publishing an updated regulatory impact statement template, communicating to and engaging with agencies about key changes in the Circular, updating internal practice and systems to account for the changes the Circular, and commenced planning for information sessions for other agencies on the changes. The Ministry for Regulation has also been considering the impacts of the Circular changes in other areas of its work, including for its regulatory reviews.
