106 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: Can the Minister confirm that there will be no reductions to the salaries, allowances or benefits of all judges, associate judges and any judicial officers in the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the High Court, the District Court (including its divisions), the Māori Appellate Court, the Māori Land Court, the Environment Court, the Environment Court or the Coroners Court?
Hon Paul Goldsmith: Remuneration of the judicial officers in question is determined independently by the Remuneration Authority.
The allowances and benefits received by the judicial officers in question are determined by either the Remuneration Authority or the Attorney-General.
