28 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What communications, if any, has the minister received from overseas visitors saying they would stay longer if their visitor visa allowed them to work whilst in New Zealand?

Hon Erica Stanford: As Minister of Immigration, I receive high volumes of correspondence on a range of topics. I am advised my office doesn't not hold this information in an easily collatable format. To obtain the information a manual review of correspondence received would be required. This would take staff from their normal duties and thus the public interest would not be served.
