11 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What decisions, if any, have been made regarding the establishment of a back-up National Crisis Management Centre outside Wellington?

Hon Mark Mitchell: In my capacity as Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I have not made any decisions regarding the establishment of a backup National Crisis Management Centre outside of Wellington. However, I am advised that the National Emergency Management Agency has established an improved backup National Crisis Management Centre at the Auckland University of Technology South Auckland Campus in June 2025.
