10 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister for Trade and Investment: Is the Government’s move to remove regulatory barriers to construct facilities to import Liquefied Natural Gas consistent with the provisions of the Agreement on Climate Change, Trade and Sustainability; if so, how?

Hon Todd McClay: ACCTS allows the Government to make decisions in the best interest of New Zealand around the provision of energy. The Government will ensure any decisions we make will be compatible with commitments we have made in international agreements.
